Steve Martin and Mike Parker grew up together in Vermont and both made Durango home in 1991. Both met their wives in Durango and have stayed deeply involved in the community — through schools, local nonprofits, and three decades of word-of-mouth referrals from neighbors who became repeat clients.
Edgewood Construction completes 4 to 5 custom homes and remodels each year. That number is a deliberate ceiling, not a marketing line — it lets Steve and Mike stay personally involved on every project from the first conversation through finish carpentry. They know your home intimately.
Edgewood homes are high end from the ground up — in the quality of materials and in the care of installation. Our own employees handle every aspect of the carpentry; a trusted list of long-standing sub-contractors keeps the rest of the trades moving smoothly. The result is a build the partners stand behind decades later.

Both partners are present on every project. You will talk directly to Steve or Mike — not a project manager. We know your build intimately because we are physically on it, every week, from design through finish carpentry.

We create working budgets at the design stage that reflect your actual wishes — and we stick to them. No surprise change orders, no inflated allowances. The number we quote is the number we build to.
